Aloo Balls/Paratha

If you are one of those who loves to eat paratha and hates Rice but for you its a pain to roll the round roti specially after stuffing with aloo, then you have come to the right place.
One important Thing is that if you dont have any Indian store near by your house and you Need to buy our regular chapati atta then you should find a Lidl or REWE near you and buy the "weizenmehl 1050" thats our regular aata that we eat in India.

Ingredients- 4 Big potatoes, 4 Tea Cups of atta, 3 spoons of chaat masala, 1 spoon jeera powder, 3 spoons of oil, salt as per taste,
cooking time 30-40 min
serves- 2-3 students :-)
It is perfect to carry for trips or Outings.

First put all the potatoes in pressure cooker and fill it water , let it cook until 3 whistles. Then let the cooker cool down and then open it. If you dont have pressure cooker then pre-heat the oven on 275 degree for 10 mins and then wrap every potato in an Aluminium foil and put it in oven for 30min.

Once the pressure cooker/baked potatoes have cooled down, start the oven at 275 degree and then start to peel the Skin off from the potato and put it in a bowl.
Add oil, salt ,Smash it for a while, then add chaat masala, jeera powder and mix it well.
Now start adding the flour slowly, DO NOT add WATER.
Keep mixing and adding the flour until it becomes similiar to normal dough .
Now apply some cooking oil on your Palms and start taking the dough in small amounts , making it in small ball shapes.
Put a Long Aluminium foil inside the oven , apply some oil on to it, start keeping These small balls on that, Close the oven and let it cook for 30 min. Keep checking it after a while and once you see the balls turning Brown in colour ,Switch off the oven 10 min after that and let it be there for another 10 min.

your aloo balls/paratha is ready to eat.

Tortellini-The Indian way!!

This particular reciepe is way too easy and simple. In all possible grocery store in Germany you will find a packet of Tortellini, usually you will find it near the butter section . Make sure you see the Contents and then buy it. Most of the time you will find it with "schwein or shinken" which is nothing but pork meat. You will also find ones with spinach and cheese(käse) which are very tasty.
Usually one should just boil it and eat- well thats the german way of doing it.
How we can improvise this is, boil the Tortellini as per the instruction on the packet. At the same time heat up a pan with 3 spoons of oil. When the pan is hot enough, add some mustard seeds and then some curry leaves .Now drain out the water from Tortellini and add this Tortellini in the pan and just fry it for exactly 5 mins. After that serve it on plate and garnish it with some cheese.

cooking time - 10 mins
ingredients- Tortellini packet, curry leaves, mustard seeds and grated cheese.

P.S you can add some chilli powder or chillies while frying in the pan if you like it spicy.
